How to combine all .vcf files to single .vcf file manually to merge into Gmail Contacts

The VCF file extension is related to many personal management and e-mail programs like Microsoft Outlook. VCF format is an universal standard for storing personal or business contacts, such as name, e-mail, social networks, address, or phone numbers. These files are frequently used for import and export of contents between two programs or devices and their respective address books. They can also be sent as e-mail attachments.

Suppose, if you have hundreds of email contacts saved as .vcf file for each email contact. A .vcf file takes the look like the lines below:

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:2.1
N:John Doe;;;;
TEL;CELL:01711111000
CLASS:PRIVATE
X-CLASS:PRIVATE
END:VCARD

Now I want to bulk import them into my Google Contacts but I can't select multiple .vcf file or all .vcf at a time, that means, I can't multi-select from the file open dialog box.

At this point, if I could merge all .vcf files into single file where all my .vcf files will be put one after another. I could then import them all into Gmail Contacts by few mouse clicks.

Steps to Bulk Import (Merge/combine) vCards into One Contact List (Single .vcf file)

Step 1. First Copy all your vcf files into one Folder/directory.

Step 2. Open Windows command prompt (Windows + R), and then type “cmd” to open command prompt and navigate to the destination folder where all your contact files are stored.

Step 3. Enter the following DOS command: copy *.vcf all.vcf

copy *.vcf all.vcf

Step 4. Now you will get all your .vcf files merged into single .vcf file, named, all.vcf.

Just import the newly created single .vcf file whenever required in Gmail Contacts.

You can import these email contacts into any system that support .vcf file format.
